Default NEW 6L80E PowerPacks

Finally! After working with Alto and waiting for quite a while, the 6L80E PowerPacks are about to arrive.
Now you can make some serious horsepower without having to worry about burning up the tranny.
The 3-5-Rev PowerPack has 14 single-sided plates which is the equivalent to having 7 conventional double-sided frictions (stock has 4) for a +40% increase in surface area. Plus, they are lined with Alto's Red Eagle http://www.altousa.com/friction.htm high performance racing friction material for an even more increased clutch capacity!

The 4-5-6 PowerPack has 18 single-sided plates (stock has only 12, some models only have 10) for an over 33% increased surface area! Also lined with Alto's Red Eagle racing friction material.

A 2-6 PowerPack kit in still in the works. May be some time before it's available. For the time being we will continue to use the Raybestos Stg 1 clutches in the 2-6. For what it's worth, we've seen the 4-5-6 & 3-5-rev get the worst beatings.

We should be receiving our shipment of Powerpacks from Alto any day. Supplies may be slightly limited being a new production run. So I'm making these PowerPacks available to LS1Tech community first! I will begin taking pre-orders now for those who are interested.

#19756 4-5-6 PowerPack $154.95
#19757 3-5-rev PowerPack $139.95 ($294.90 total for both kits).
5% discount off these prices to all LS1Tech members!
We are an Authorized Alto Dealer so I also have wholesale prices on these & all Alto products to LEGIT shops. Call or e-mail me to place your order.

Of course, we can custom build your 6L80E for you with the Alto PowerPacks and our internal upgrades! Contact me for build costs.
Thanks!

BTW, Century Transmission has been a long-time LS1TECH sponsor. Banner ad is to the right. Trying to get the admin to update my avatar... Usually camaro-KEEN posts here for me.

And will a tune be necessary?

I highly recommend a "tune" be done to any 6L80E that's going to get beat on. The factory trans tables are programed to provide comfort to the masses, not maximum durability with additional power &/or a heavy right foot. Half the battle to keeping this tranny alive is a good hp tune. This is also where you will "feel" improved shift performance & less delay between commanded wot upshifts. Installing the PoweraPacks or anybody else's clutch upgrades is going to greatly improve the "grabbing" and holding capacity for increased durabilty & reliability.

I'm very interested in running these in my 2007 Corvette as I'm currently on my 6th transmission. Do you have any testimonials you can refer me to as to how well their 6L80 has held up after installing these stronger clutch packs?

Thanks in advance,
Christopher

Would also like some testimonials Mike please and if you have these clutches in stock. Pricing on a 6l80e build with what other mods that you do to help for hp and tq. I've got about 700whp and 4th gear started slipping at about 20,000 miles with a trans tune. I have given it a decent amount of abuse within those miles. Thank also in advance.

I put an LS7 in it along with several other mods and ran a 9.950 back in December:
