Yank 2800 stall problems. Help!
I have a YANK 2800 stall and at certain RPMS I can hear it making contact with the bolts on the inside of the transmission. When I had the tranny out, I could see where it was making contact. The stall has a perfect circle all the way around it. I sent it back to yank once to be freshened up and they said everything was in tolorance. Why is the stall making contact is my first question.
It is on a c5 corvette with a 4l60E. My factory torque converter doesnt have this issue but I am running a gm hot cam and a small stall is perfered. Just need to get this ironed out.
Thanks for any and all help.
Jeff

What bolts and contact where? We need more information or a picture. Only bolts in the area of the stall are converter to flywheel and flywheel to crank. In either case neither should hit anything unless they are backing out or incorrect bolts. What do you have for bolts? Are they backing out? Did you use Loctite? Are you using the stock flywheel and could it be cracked?

I did not take pictures of it when it was out. I noticed it realized the bolts on the face of the transmission were coming in contact so i ground them down a ways but at certain RPM's it still makes contact. usually around 2200 rpms you can hear it making contact then it goes away. It seems as though when you stab the converter on the transmission (4l60E) it goes to far onto it.
