Default Is the 4L80E the same size as the 4L60E?

Is it a direct replacement in terms of size?

It heavier, rear mount is about 3." inches farther back, Pan is longer but it is slightly narrower.

In my case the 4L80E has more tunnel clearance than a 4L65E. X-member was easy mod. Only fit issue was mounting tab on bellhousing. That seems to be a common problem. Had more clearance on sides of tunnel than with 4L65E.
