Default reverse shifts very hard

Well just got transmission rebuild on my 4l60e with a transgo stge 2 shift kit and a transgo shift modulator...only problem is my reverse shifts so hard it tries to chirp the wheels everytime. Has anyone had this problem before and is it fixable?

Vacuum is good need to check line pressure I believe its something internal....the builder is closed for the weekend. I just had my 3-4 clutches burn before this one I hope its not internal...I highly doubt it though

You will have to reduce the size of the reverse/input feed hole in the separator plate. TransGo has you enlarge it. Do not do that as this clutch pack when using the vacuum modulator (higher line pressure) comes on sooner than the applying of the low/reverse clutch. You do not want this to happen as it will make for a harsh reverse engagement. First, as suggested earlier, make sure you have vacuum at the transmission. Second, make sure you follow TransGo's specs for the pin length. Third, make sure the idle speed is correct.
