Default servo help

i just put a yank 3600 in, i was thinking about installing a set of aftermarket servos just to beef up the shifts, what seems to be the brand everyones going with?

I'm assuming that you have a fbody. If you do you already have a vet servo which is more than fine for second gear. The 4Th servo most guys will upgrade with a sonnax 4Th servo if you feel the need for addition holding power in OD. Some will us this same servo if they tow but in your case I doubt it.

As for the 2nd servo if you wanted to upgrade it I would recommend a sonnax 2nd servo. I like the fact that it still uses the factory accumulation and springs for it's functions. I personally would stay away from the superior servo due to drivability issues and also it is very hard on the transmissions internals.

To beef up the shifts most would suggest a shift kit. We personally install a Trans-go kit in all of our 60's. If you do not have one yet make sure to get a nice trans cooler on there as well. Vince
