Default Tuning after new trans and converter?

i just installed a built 4L60Ewith a shift kit and a 3200 stall. I was wondering if I can drive it with out tuning it or if it will mess up my new trans? Thanks in advance!

If you have never had the PCM modified. It would be a good time to get the Torque Management Tuned Down if not deleted. I see you have 3.73's if that has not been done yet to adjust for the Speedo, it would be a good time as well.

I have had the speedo adjusted and the torque management turned down to 50% before. Is it safe to drive right now with out a tune?

you will need to get codes P0751, P0757 deleted..your car will drive horrible without deleting these codes.

You probably will need these codes deleted. P0757 came on the first time I drove my car after the converter install causing it to go into limp mode, no fun..

Driving with the stock part throttle shift points will cause extra slip, which means more heat in your trans. If it does go into limp mode, stop and turn the car off for a minute or two. Then you should be ok.

Personally I would have it tuned ASAP. To much money at stake. I have a mail order tune now but will be getting a dyno tune as soon as I get some time off work and my lockup issue resolved.

Will these codes come up as a check engine light or are they just stored in the ECU?

Both of those codes will cause your trans to go into limp mode. Yes your light will illuminate.
