Looks like fine metallic particals.
The reason to never use a used converter without having it cut and cleaned first. Now all that crap has circulated through your transmission.

Looks like the fluid is seperated? Like its not mixed? Hard to tell in that pick, if it is i have no idea what it would be or why. I would fix whatever is leaking then tow it to a shop and flush it at least once. Good luck I hope the tranny is still good. As stated it really isnt a good idea to buy used converters unless they are thoroughly checked out. Sorry to hear bro and good luck.

It is, it looks exactly like metallic or pearl paint thats not thoroughly mixed.

In this case it's the fluid and the contaminate. If someone mixed this like paint it would be a consistant color.

It looks like there might be a little water in there too.
