tranny needs rebuilt (01 SS) Whats a good price to have it done? the engine is stock...........the car would unlock sometimes in o/d ......it did this for a year......now it slips real bad even on take off.....could it just be the convertor gone bad?

i found that having a stock trans redone and "built" by a local shop was almost as much as buying a good proven and trusted transmission from a sponsor on here. so thats what route i went. id rather have one from say performabuilt than jimmys performance transmissions.
