Default rebuild 4l60e, wich parts?

Hi guys

I have a 1995 4l60e wich silps so 1st and 2nd gear, so im planning to buy parts
For a rebuild. I would like it to withstand about 400-500hp (future tuning of the lt1 engine).

What parts would you reccomend and where do i buy them?

Im on a budget so i want to replace just the essentials.

All hints and reccommendations are much appreciated.

Thanks
Hakan

Not trying to be a dick or anything but if you do not know what parts to buy and want to only replace the ssentials for a 500 hp trans then my suggestion would be to take it to a reputable shoip or sponsor and go ahead and pay to have it done or you will spend more money trying to do it yourself. the parts are not the biggest thing to make it withstand the power level its the setup of those parts. you will be spending at least 700 dollars on parts to do it right to be able to hold that power. what happens when it fails if it does due to setup issues or lack of exp. (basing this off of the question as to what parts to use) you are out 700 bucks oh and now you have to have it built see where I am going with this and most trans shops wont use the parts you have instralled already even if they are still good.

agreed, I spent right at $700 at shop cost for good parts...then a driveshaft failure took it out and I got to do it again
