Built 4l60e???
Anyone got one for sale or know of anyone that sells a good one? I need a transmission to hold up to around 500whp but i dont wanna spend out the whazoo... I already have $20k invested in my car and i kinda dont wanna spend a **** ton more on it til i get a daily driver so... Til then i need something that is basically a drop in or something that wont take long... I have extensive mechanical knowledge so if anyone sells a kit or something that will help me achieve my goals that would be awesome as well! So if anyone has any info on this topic any help would be greatly appreciated!

$20k and you seem to want to cheap out on a transmission?
Have you seen the prices of sponsor built transmissions?
And you're not going to do something stupid like put a used TCI back in a new trans are you?

if you are able to rebuild it yourself, there's a few company's that offer kits that have everything u need. pro-built, monster transmission, CK trans $500-$1000 i just ordered a kit from monster trans.

FLT all the way. Great customer service, There transmissions take a beating and beg for more. Why bother taking the chance of others BUILT trans holding up when you can do it right the first time and not have to swap **** out wasting your time, money and racing season.

FLT is the only way to go, at least for me. They presently have the 4L70E out of my wifes 07 TB SS for a level 7 build. FLT is the only trans builder that I use. Talk to Andy and you will not go wrong. For torque converters talk to Dave at Yank. Also the only one that I will use. If you want recommendations , those are mine. Do YOURSELF a favor and look for quality and not the cheapest price. FLT's Level 4 is definitely worth looking into at their sale price. Good luck and keep us posted.

Okay now you read "Cheap" and took it way too far, i want something inexpensive and reliable...
My TCI is kinda crappy for what i paid for it but at our local speed shop i had a bunch of guys that had them that were telling me how awesome they were so now i want a yank4200 or so... Cuz i mean lets face it, my TCI isnt doing the trick, i have a 3400 stall and it stalls up to only about 2200...
Monster is looking to be the best so far for my options that i have open... Now are they rated at what they will actually hold? Like the stage two is rated at 600hp i believe, will it actually hold 600whp?

LOL, I stand corrected. OK if you want something inexpensive still check with FLT on their Level 4 sale which ends shortly I believe. Also for an inexpensive torque converter check with Dave @ Yank. Both FLT & Yank are also reliable. LOL
