I'm assuming you mean th350?

Here's exactly what you need to make it a direct bolt in....

1. th350 with a 9" tail
2. This fitz-all kit right here:
http://www.transmissionpartsusa.com/...-00007q35b.htm

Basically you just need the spacer between the th350 and the 4L60 tail on your car now.
3. The tailshaft from your 4L60E
4. A new torque converter (millions to choose from)
5. A new dipstick. The MadMan one is the best:

http://www.madmanandcoracing.com/sho...aspx?itemid=13

By using the fitzall kit you can retain your current crossmember, your speedometer will still work, and the driveshaft won't need to be shortened or lengthened. You will need to take the reluctor off of your 4L output shaft. I had the transmission shop do mine, so I don't know how big of a deal that is. You also can use a stock shifter if you want to (I do).

Total cost for a decent setup would break down something like this:

th350 race prepped manual valve body= $800ish
fitzall kit= $100
dipstick= $71.70
converter= $500ish

WAY cheaper than building a 4L60E.

How much was it and whats it rated for if you dont mine me asking. I can get one from monster for $1200.00 stage 3 built for 1,000 hp. I doubt i will hit that much power but its nice to have the support. Im shooting for around 650-750 by next fall. So... I need something that will hold up with a garauntee.

There is a stickie in this section at the top of the page that has the total swap I even posted some pics of my swap in there.
I run a performabuilt T400 and love it. Give Frank a call. Also on T400 you can get a FMVB OR RMVB. It you do a trans break you need the RMVB.
Things you need for the T400 Swap.
A T400 transmission short snout tail.
T400 cross brace
Flex plate- I got the TCI SFI one the are around 150 to 200 bucks
T400 stall -i had one made with a longer snout so you do not have to use a spacer that is made for a LS based motor
Shifter- I just got the B&M Ratchet shifter comes with everything you need.
You have to have a driveshaft made for you set up. I had mine made local I would also get the 1350 yoke.
I also got new trans bolts and stall bolts when I did the swap. If there is something else I will let you know.

Thanks man im gonna go bookmark your sticky.

How long do you think it took you to do it? Is it about as time consuming as just a R and R on a stock tranny or no? Any fab work needing done?

Its just time consumming man no lie. Time savers are getting a stall where the snout is longer for a ls1 style. getting the sfi flexplate. On some trannys you have to trim the ears off the side of the bell housing. but that depends when you get it up under if it hits the side of your headers.

Ah i hear ya, these pesky headers are always in the way while your under the car lol

Well i think im going to put my car down for the winter and add a 200 shot, a bigger intake, my tranny, some suspension and a rear end so hopefully i can get all this done before the warm weather comes back

I will for sure be contacting you when i do this though lol

The only thing I miss is the 4L60E over drive but the t400 is sweet at the track and so is the transbreak off the line. If this is your DD I would do a t400 swap just buy a Lv2 perfroma built tranny I went low 10s with mine all day long. Is is all up to what goal you have in mine. I see the track more then I did the street. What gears did you have in your car?
