Default 4l60e questions

what is the difference, if any, between the 4l60e from a 99' 3.8L f-body and an lt1 4l60e?

The bellhousing and torque converter, input shaft/drum. Minor calibration in the valve body and the v6 doesn't have the vette servo.

so it would bolt up to the bellhousing though right? and i would be using an aftermarket converter, im just wondering if it would be cheaper for me to convert it to work if thats possible, since the v6 4l60e is sitting in my garage collecting dust, im thinking of getting it built, so my car has less down time

You can take the bellhousing off the LT1 trans and put it on the V6 trans.
The end of the input shaft is smaller on the V6 trans but I'm sure a trans shop can find one to fit the LT1, they are the same as 4.3 liter and GEN 1 small block 4L60E's.
