Default Anyone ever notice a noisy whine from your truck transmission when its cold?

I just got an 06 Trailblazer SS. I notice it does the same thing my Sierra does when you drive it cold. The transmission makes a noisy whine until it is warm.

Is this normal for these transmissions to be noisy until they are warm?

my 460le has this "grinding" or what sounds to me almost like a vibrating phone put on a table or something. Its only in winters on a cold start.
