Default Car won't start after trans swap...

OK I searched to no avail...I know this had to happen to someone before. Me and a guy at work swapped a new FLT lvl 4 in his 2000 ss yesterday. After we got everything buttoned up we tried to start the car...nothing. We checked the linkage over and over and went through each gear, but still couldn't figure it out. Could it be something with the neutral safety switch? I'm at a loss, it was so frustrating being under that car for 6 hours, then it not starting when you go to hear the pay off. Any suggestions are much appreciated.

Ok so you had your starter off to do the tranny stuff. So r u sure all ur wires to ur starter are hooked up right and all tight? Did you disconect the battery? Could be a loose wire there. I am thinking the problem is just something either a cable off the battery or a wire on the starter is just not hooked up right or is loose. If the starter isn't kicking in it probably has nothing to do with the tranny..

I would make sure the shifter is in park. I know that sound ridiculous but I have seen it happen more than once. Check the neutral safety switch also.

yea all the starter cables were hooked up securely and correctly. The cables were on the battery. He thinks it's something with the neutral safety switch or the security. I'll try to let yall know what happens today.
