Holiday Transmission Giveaway
Beginning October 1, 2010, every customer purchasing a transmission, transmission with torque converter, or a torque converter alone from PerformaBuilt will go into a weekly drawing.
The winner of each week’s drawing will go into the final drawing to be held on December 24, 2010.
The winner of the final drawing will be refunded the entire cost of their purchase, whether they bought a transmission, a torque converter, or both. All the other weekly winners will receive $100 refund each.
Drawings will be held on each Friday, beginning on October 8, 2010 at midnight and winner’s name will be posted on the home page of our website (as well as various other locations on the web) each Saturday.
This giveaway is open to retail customers only. In the interest of fairness, we cannot allow purchases by our PerformaBuilt Dealers to participate in the drawings.

FTI Stall results - New All Motor GTO Record!!!!
Quickie:
I removed my multi disc Vig 3000 stall and replaced it with an FTI flexplate and FTI 4000 single disc converter.
I went to the 1/8th mile track last Saturday on my normal 26" Hoosiers. Needless to say they no longer were cutting the sammich.
Fast forward until tonight: I installed a new set of 28" Hoosiers and did John Force proud at the line. The result:
1.39
4.14
6.500@104.32
My car is dead on the 1/4 mile conversion chart. This 1/8th mile pass comes out to a 10.14@132mph in the quarter.
This is was all motor in a street driven GTO. The car was driven to the track and driven back home. Clearly the FTI converter and 28" tires is a winning combination. The plan is to hit up the 1/4 mile track Sunday. I don't think I'll get as good of a DA as I had tonight when Sunday comes around. However, it will still be interesting. DA tonight was 1000.
I believe this is the fastest 60 foot for an all motor, drag radial, stock suspension, 4L60E tranny if I'm not mistaken. (Shout out to Performabuilt and FTI!!!!)
Ran back to back 6.5s. Enjoy.

I'll get some 1/4 mile results either Sunday or next weekend. Thanks for hanging in there with me Greg until I could prove the stall! I wore the Tshirt you sent me to the track tonight and I think it was good luck!

Oops I did it again - New record
1.37
4.08
6.43@104.59
10.20@130.45
I backed it up with a
1.39
4.11
6.46@104.48
10.23@130.19
All motor Va Speed built LS3 427
Performabuilt 4L60E
FTI 4000 stall
Car has a 10.15 in it as it sits with some more track time and a little colder weather. I'd like to see a 9 second NA pass but it's going to be very hard without adding more power. Any ideas I'm all ears!
The stall allowed me to leave harder and ET better. But as expected I lost a couple mph. Kind of bummed about the mph but excited about the ET. The 28" tires allowed me to cross the traps at 6800 with 3.91s.

Well it really depends on how much additional durability your looking for I mean we have some cars with the basic build in that range without issue but ya never know. Its really about how much more your willing to spend to get more peice of mind, Billet parts are quiet expensive

Nice email I got today
Frank,
Just wanted to drop a email to you to let you know that the level 2 4l60 you
built me is still working like new with 40k fun filled miles on it. I have
done many dragstip, road course, and thousand mile road trips in my GTO and
it is working like a clock!
It's been putting down over 600 rwhp thank to all my go fast parts and 150
shot for 2 years now!
I'll be in touch for the next project I have in the works without a doubt.
Thanks for your great product and commitment to service.
V/r,
Robbie
