Default coolant gurgling, came out overflow 1ce after stall...

i installed the ss4000 in my car and am schedualed for a tune on monday...iv been keeping it out of lockup by shifting it manualy (because it chatters when it goes into lockup at low MPH)....so its been higher than normal rpms....everytime i pull the car in the shop and pop the hood theres a gurgling sound comming from the radiator/coolant resivor, just a slow gurgle..gurgle...well i parked it on the driveway and it overflowed some coolant out of the container onto the driveway....the car doesent ever run hot so i was thinking maybe it needs the tune bad so i dont have to keep it out of lockup manually being at higher rpms, and the fans to come on sooner in the tune....also installed an UD pully but it was already making the gurlging sound before that....GIVE ME SOME GOOD news !

yes i installed a nice size transmission cooler, i was thinking it needs to be tuned so the fans can come on sooner and keep coolant temps down, its really stressing me out tho considering my tune date is monday

have you checked your t stat? Check the radiator cap?
Are you sure its coming from the overflow tank and not the radiator cap?

Those stupid gauges are never right.U should buy a Coolant temp,Tranny temp & Oil pressure gauge and put them in the pods on your window post so u know the true temps.

did you seriously just abbreviate the word "once" with "1ce"? lol..... damn

anyway the coolant gauge in your car is somewhat of a dummy gauge. GM changed them to show a consistent temp because people would get scared when the temp went up before the thermostat opened. Basically unless you have a scanner to read the sensor or an aftermarket gauge your stock temp guage is useless. I dont know if it will show an overheat condition because my car has never overheated...

Yea, i had my car on HP Tuners and it sat idle for almost a half hour in 90 degree heat and the gauge read 210 and HP Tuners read 181.

yes, i said 1ce, so i fiex the problem, it costed me 4 bucks for a new radiator cap, now no gurgling or noises of any kind. only had to try 1ce to fix it ...had me worried, the radiator cap spring must have been faulty and not holding pressure, as soon as i switched it with the new one zero problems occured.. thanks for all the help
