Default info on a good stall converter?

before i go spend 500 600$ on some converter I figure i would ask some questions on here. so i got a '92 silverado 450hp 350 carbed of course. lol it's got a richmond posi and 3.73 gears 275 60 15 tires hughes 700r4. the tech guys at tci tell me i should use a 2800rpm stall "for the street" but i've seen guys running 4000 4500 stalls on trucks with less cam than me. 236 240 570 590 lift comp roller. so what would be the best bang for buck converter for me? tci/ yank/b&m?

The B&M would provide the best bang, literally.

You can get by with a TCI for a non lock up converter, on the other hand TCI lock up converters are garbage.
