I wouldn't put a used stall in my trans, let alone one that might be having problems. You can get them freshened up/rebuilt for fairly cheap.

You can buy a brand new PTC (KILLER! converter) for 450$. My buddy just put his in... 273 gears stock 98 ls1 intake/heads/cam/tb/etc etc etc stock tune LTs/Xpipe/1 chambers and a lid... 7.8@87mph 1.6 short time... First and only pass, I think he could have hit 7.7s that night easily.

I bought a used one and the lock up clutch went out within the first year. Might as well buy brand new and not worry about it.

its a 10inch and he brought it new and the only reason he selling it is because of his cam size. his mechanic told him he needs a bigger one because of his power band and his stall is not working right with the cam. he sellin it to me for 200

No, what does it flash to? 3000? 3500? 4000?

For another 250$ you can get a brand new one and have it flash to what you want with a warranty.

It is going to run around 100-200$ to ship it off and have it refreshed/rebuilt.

I would do it then. Most companies only cover it from original buyer though so have him send it off.... also restall it to 4000, you will thank me later.

Do it anyway. I had mine in before I had my cam. It isn't a 4000 but close enough. Makes it more fun to drive.

I paid $695 but it was a very nice peice and well worth it. a stall is a vital peice of the car and not something you wanna cheap out to much on.

What kind of soxty footsteps do you cut. You dont have to tell me about how important a converter is. I cut bottom 1.5 high 1.4 depending on weather, full weight average h.c car. I have yet for the price of a ptc seen anything come close to comparing. yank does not impress me and they are expensive, I like vig, not too many others that I like.. no experience with circle d.
