Default FLT, PerformaBuilt, RPM which one?

Just wondering what 4L60 you guys are using out of the 3. My car will make about 580 rwhp/rwtq on the bottle. I want a great transmission and customer service after the sale. Thanks guys

So many threads, so many opinions. It seems like you can't go wrong with any of them. I voted for FLT as that's what I have, I just got it but so far it's everything I thought it was going to be. Hasn't missed a beat with the 150 shot so I'm happy lol.

Last year I had one of mine re-done by Vince a FLT. Was a pretty easy decision once I talked with them and the fact that they are local. So I was able to drive up there to drop/get the transmission and chat with them. Haven't had much seat time in the car though since I'm re-doing the procharger setup. So we'll see how it holds up next season.

I went with FLT. 250 + passes with my 418 LS3 so far. 11.0's @ 3800lb raceweight. I had an issue with the shipping(not FLT's fault), but Andy was quick to fix the problem.

Very happy with thier tranmisson and service.

Hey:

I think you should have added Circle D and ATI both are great companies with a loyal following. Not thats there is anything wrong with the ones you listed, but ATI and Circle D would have been my choice, either one.

performabuilt. great products / customer service. best ive ever dealt with actually. for some reason IF you have a problem, frank will make it right (believe me). Plus it seems like he is always online to answer any questions you may have and point you in the right direction whether he benefits from it or not.

My vote goes to perfomabuilt. great product, great customer service and a great warranty..... you cant go wrong. Another thing to mention is you dont have to worry about going through the hassle of sending your old trans to them unlike other sponsors, just reuse your bellhousing and tailshaft housing and your good.

RPM Tranmsissions all the way! Amazing products and no one can match their reputaion and customer service. They have the fastest 4L60e transmissions in the world. Take a look at their reputaion over at corvetteforums.

I definitely second the movement for RPM Transmissions. Ive had mine for 3 years without a single issue. This is the 4th RPM Transmission I have owned. You can't go worng with them.

I vote for RPM Transmissions. Hands down, they have the best customer service I have ever seen and they are always more than eager to answer questions whether you have 1 of their transmissions or not. Rodney and the whole crew stand behind their work and do a great job at building a Rock-Solid Transmission that will last a very long time- under the most extreme conditions. I have spoken with Rodney and alot of the guys over there and all of them are very knowledgeable, down to earth, car enthusiasts like myself.
If you want a transmission that will hold up to your expectations and not let you down, Pick up an RPM Transmission and be done with it. Thats my .02 and take it for what it's worth. But just do a quick search and I'm sure you will see they have a very good reputation, and there are many guys that are known for setting records with their transmissions. Hell a majority of the sponsors on here sell RPM Transmissions for that very same reason.

I have been very happy with the 4L60E transmissions and 6 speeds that have came out of their shop. They are STRONG, and shift Great with no issues at all! Theres nothing more comforting, than having the peace of mind that you can reliably drive to and from the track knowing your not gonna hurt the Transmission.

Best of Luck with choosing your new transmission.

I have used my Performabuilt for the last two summers without a hitch. I only took it to the drags twice....but i'm not easy on my cars when i do drive them.

My vote goes to RPM Transmissions.. I could list 100 reasons why, but a quick search on Tech and CorvetteForum.com will give you all of the answers you could ever need.

FLT offers an incredible product as well. We have talked with Vince/Andy a few times over the years and they are a great group of folks.

I have had three experiences with Performabuilt all of which were very disappointing. Service after the sale does not mean covering up your mistakes from using inferior product and offering to fix it...

i cant agree more.....
after trying both......perfor lv2 & FLT lv4.....we pick FLT!

true story.....
we went threw a couple performa lv2 trans,1st went about 1500 miles & the second went a couple hundred miles & then we tried the FLT lv4.

and these were both in the same car with 407rwhp......

in OUR OPINION since we did try both companys.......since we only had to do the FLT lvl4 once,i guess we would have to say it was the better of the two.....wouldnt you?

good luck!!!!

After twisting 2 output shafts off on a "built" tranny's from another company, I got a Perfomabuilt lev 3 4l80e in my heavy *** truck and run 17psi of boost on the LS1 . Never had a problem with it! Best CS I've ever had with tranny company!

been beating on my performabuilt LVL2 for a few years now. 11.5@118 at 4,500 race weight. it should be ready to knock off a 10 here soon and a blown transmission is the last thing on my mind.
