Default What year(s) 4l80e for lq4 swap

I'm trying to locate a 4l80e for my lq4 swap into my '66 c10. I've had a hard time finding a 2003 (same year as my motor) trans, but I found a '98 2wd 4l80e for a good price. Is there a significant difference, or am I safe to use the older trans (with a new convertor) behind my 6.0?

thanks

Your safe to use it, biggest difference between 98 and 03 4l80es is the lack of 1 bolt hole in the bellhousing.

I can deal with that, assuming the overall integrity is maintained.

Does it make any difference that my '03 was a DBW motor?
