Wow, that's a pretty broad temperature range. Are you in a warm or cool climate? Also, you might want to try and search on this topic. There are several methods people use.

Are you sure you need a fan for your trans cooler?

Check out the B&M Super Cooler rated at 24,000. The Plate design works a lot better than the Fin/tube design.

It really sounds like there's something else wrong. Your temps seem pretty high for not having a stall and with ambient temps are around 65 degrees. What really gets me is the variation in the temps.

How do you have your cooling system setup now? Cooler lines, hayden cooler, factory radiator cooler, etc?

Is any part of the cooling system pressed up against the motor or your exhaust?

Where is your trans temp sender located - in the pan or in a line?

Did the trans cooling system work properly before you added the hayden cooler?

How big is the hayden cooler?

its a smaller hayden mounted right in front of the radiator the sensor i didnt put in but the kid said that the sensor is in by the bellhousing instead of in the line everything is cool as long as i dont sit for to long the kid set the idle on the car at 1100 so i was wondering if that was maybe something to do with it???? im not sure the trans is a fresh rebuild stock stall the trans burnt up when i drove it home and it was pulling the same kinda of temp so idk
