Default what does this code mean?

Pinned my 93 TA and it flashed
28 Transmission Range (TR) pressure switch assembly
I've been having some missing and hesitation and am starting to think its the tranny. It also vibrates like hell in reverse. The original owner fooled with the valve body and said it had a "shift kit"

Also should add, if I'm at a red light, brake fully pressed, the car will overpower the brakes and inch forward...

Any idea what's going on?

That switch is bolted to the valve body and sends signals to the pcm to let it know what gear it's in.
