My best so far is a 1.42. Today I snapped both u-joints off and shattered my tailshaft but the trans is still holding together.

One of my 4L60E's in Rick Abare's mid nine second 1996 Firebird has been running mid to high 1.20's for quite sometime. A few months ago he was turning consistent 1.22 - 1.26 sixty foot times. There are a few us (knowledgeable builders) that have been able to make these units hold up to the low sixty foot times.

1.45-1.48 60's in a 3800 lb car.

Another Impala with a solid roller 383 pulling 1.37-1.39 60's with the 4L60E. About the same weight.

I assuming these aren't stock transmissions, what are the main thing you guys to 4L60Es to cut these times and have it hold up?
