fresh 4l60e wont shift

Default fresh 4l60e wont shift

i jave a freshly rebuilt 4l60e and i put about 3 miles on it. does great until time for shift into 3rd. it just does not shift. dont even act like its is going to shift. ive tried manually shifting and still no upshift past 2nd. could this be a bad solenoid? or a clogged up valve body? oh yeah. it a 98 z

make sure you have 12v on the pink wire in the round connector with key on.

If you had no 12 volts to the trans it would be stuck in third.

Sounds like you need to take the valve body off and recheck everything including the check ball locations. Check the 2nd servo. If no problems are found take the trans out and apart and check the internals.

do you think the valve body could be clogged up. i had busted the front pump before the rebuild. im thinking a sliver of metal could be in the valve body
