Default 4l80e swap questions

I am swapping from a T56 to a 4l80e. i have a couple questions.
First what flexplate do you recommend? I don't have a converter yet.
next what shifter do you recommend? I will be running a manual valve body so I don't want a ratchet shifter but want something to put in the factory 6 speed counsel.
Thanks, Chris

Get a TCI or other quality flexplate. It sucks pulling the trans to replace the flexplate knowing that you opted to cheap out.

I went with the TCI flexplate as well. If I remember correctly it had the bolt holes for a 60 and 80 converter. My converter did as well from Yank, so I had 6 mounting points as opposed to 3. Overkill I'm sure but nice to have. Don't forget new bolts. I used ARP.

I'm putting a 6.0 LQ9 in a 91' RS Camaro, I just picked up a 4l80E for it, Hawks third gen makes an LSX swap crossmember for the 4L60E, will it work for a 4L80E or is it a different size/length, also, will I need a custom drive shaft. Hawks was not sure because he said "it should work" I want to know if it "WILL" work!!!

Different.

Scroll down for the dimensions. There's 6+ inches in difference in the length to the motor mount alone.

I went with the Cat SFI approved flexplate - you can get it on eBay cheap and it's SFI certified. Went with the B&M stealth pro ratchet mounted under the factor m6 console/boot. If you do a search on here for shifters theres pix of mine installed floating around.

Yes it is. They are also 100% balanced and made in the USA.
