Trans pan bolt broke off in trans
I was using an old in-lb wrench from a major and well-respected manufacturer when I snapped off a trans pan bolt in my transmission. The bolt looks to be completely submerged in the aluminum housing.
What would the best method of extraction be? Can I do it without removing the pan again?
The plan was to set them at 85in-lbs for the first pass and then I was going to turn them to 120in-lbs like the Haynes manual suggests on the second pass. Are these numbers good or are they wrong?
Edit: I'm getting a new torque wrench today after class so that this won't happen again.
