Default 4l80e fmvb with brake ?'s AGAIN

Ok, what would i need to have the speedo correct without electronics and how do you set the rpm's on your brake? Is a 2 step needed or do you just go off your stall speed? Thanks again!

What do you mean without electronics? Do you have the factory PCM controlling the engine? If so program it for a 40 tooth reluctor wheel (stock if you had a 4L60E before), and plug your old speed sensor wire into the rear speed sensor. As long as it's not a converted 4x4 trans or someone forgot to install a reluctor wheel for some other reason this will work. (in other words if this doesn't work, make sure theres a reluctor wheel on the output carrier.)

Two step should be used, as it can be harder on the converter, and you can lower it for differing track conditions. Also much nicer for repeatability.

i didnt think you used the pcm at all with a mvb. I thought you might have to have a cable or something. I am going from m6 to a4 so i am just trying to decide whether to go fmvb or let the pcm shift it but i know i wanna transbrake. Just trying to find the easiest and cheapest way to do it. As far as the 2 step goes i didn't know if you could do something in the pcm or had to have a 2 step for the brake. I guess just a regular msd step will work and where do you guys mount the box. Thanks again

If you had an M6 you just need to plug the VSS wire in to the rear VSS and change the VSS pulses per revolution from 17 to 40.
