New trans and torque convertor
I'm putting a flt lvl 7 4l65e and a yank 3200stall convertor into my procharged silverado. The truck was Dyno tuned with a built trans and stock tqc. After the install I want to retune it for the higher stall but the closet shop to me is 3hrs away. Is it safe to drive for that long without a new tune or will I burn something up.
Thanks

I would say that you will be fine. I would just be careful not to be beating on it until the tune is correct. In some cases because you have upped the stall speed you could throw a code that will put your trans into a limp mode condition. These are usually a P0751 or a P0757 which are solenoid codes. The reason these might get thrown is if you are beating on it the rpms that the computer is looking for with a stock converter are all out of whack. This it will throw a code. If your easy on it I would say you should be fine. Best of luck with the new trans. HTH Vince B
