Default Pretty sure my converter isn't locking up...how to make sure that is the problem?

It seems like my converter isn't locking up...My car is at higher rpms in 4th than it used to be and there is no "lockup" feeling when I hit the right mph. How can I make sure it is the converter before I pull the tranny out

Drive the vehicle up to 50 or above and coast at that speed and then tap the brake and you should feel a slight jerk which is the lockup disengaging.

Howdy stranger.

Hit me up sometime this week and I'll help you take a look at it.

My car has a 3600 stall and I actually have a problem where the car shudders at 50mph. over and under 50-60 and its fine. you think its a lockup problem as well?

You should get it scanned while driving, look at TCC_Mode
for "intention" and TCC Slip RPM for "result". Look for tranny
slip codes that would prevent it from trying. If it says "locked"
and isn't, then look to your line pressure and TCC duty. But
that converter series (TCI Streetfighter) has some of the most
wimp clutches around. Once they slip, they loves to slip.

Also, there are several TSTATE pids which show reasons why the PCM is unlocking the TCC.
