Default How much power can a TH350 withstand?

I have a FMVB TH350. It made 520 to wheels. I was told by VERY reputable non-sponsor that I would be safe spraying it a 200 shot. But then again, he said it would give eventually, just as a TH400 would. I would like some opinions. He said to stick to what I have for the TH400 would slow me down 0.15 in the eighth.

400 will slow u down, but 350 can be built to be just as strong. They still run them in monster trucks so u should be fine. good planets and sprags input, output shafts n give er hell. They will all break eventually

I don't know who built it before. I should have added it will be rebuilt by them. I live in north alabama, they are local, and are known for converters.

Sounds like it was built by PTC.
They make quality stuff.
I'm not going to argue with any of the other posters here but I've never seen a TH350 in a monster truck on the professional circuit and I've done TH400s for them.
They are making 1500 HP on average with weight of 10K lbs.
WELL beyond the capabilities of a TH350.
I would normally say the limit for a TH350 is around the 800 Hp range.

We've had them survive 700 RWHP for several seasons without issue.

I have 2 running 8.50's@ 155 for multiple seasons without a freshen up. The only thing that was trick was the intermediate roller was replaced with the sprag drum. 350's can fly, they are just not as, "romantic" as a 400 or glide. As for loosing anything going to a 400, from your 350, don't worry, you won't loose anything. People say that all the time, i've never seen it, and if you did by chance loose a tenth or two, i'd rather loose a few tenths and be 1000X more durable, vs go a few tenths faster and the trans have wing nuts on it cause your pulling it constantly.

There is a guy on here that's been 8.90 in a 3700+ car with a th350 that's over 1000hp. Ptc built mine and I had 430 rwhp+200shot and still lives . You will be fine if it's built right .
