putting a ss3600 converter in before cam hurt??
i need to replace my rear main and while the trans was out i was going to put in a shift kit, and a YANK ss3600 converter in.
nitrous, long tubes, 3.73 gears, weiand intake, spraying 150.
it will be like this for a little while before i do heads, and cam, or will this kill the car..?

Yes it will destroy your car don't do it; just sale me your stall No but seriously you should be fine and actually notice a gain over the stock stall, I say go for it and I am sure others will say the same.

It will change the way you feel about the car for sure. That's right were I start lsx converters. Throttle response, wot runs, overall seat of the pants feel is great. 3600 is great for stockers to bolt on's.

it has 130,000 miles, i wasnt doing a shift kit..cause of the miles
cant afford to replace the trans, will a converter kill it?
if it does i can still reuse the converter later right? it wont destroy it

My first real mods were LT's and a Vigilante 3600 in my old Camaro. Wow... it woke that car up! Best first mods by far.
I just read the last post and laughed. My transmission went out a few months after having the converter. The car had 110k on it at the time. I bought a RPM 4L65e and it was worth the $$. EVERY person I know that has had a 4L60e transmission in a Silverado or Lsx vehicle as replaced it at least once... I even had a good trans cooler too...

if you have a good friend who works on trannys install some new clutch pacs and inspect the inners.and consider a deeper pan.if your trans fails have the converter and lines flush out,and change the filters a couple of times with in the 1 100 miles.

where would i get a clutch rebuild kit?
well im guessing with my miles, its pointless to even put a converter in it, without doing a rebuild

The Yank SS3600 is a great choice. You'll see some nice gains all around. I would recommend freshening up the tranny (as mentioned above) along with the Trans Go shift kit. Tranny cooler is a must. The convertor and shift kit alone will amaze you!!!
