Default Installing my Yank SS3600 Torque convertor this weekend

Couple questions. I have a 1998 Trans Am and have the old torque converotr out and waiting for the new one to arrive this week. The flex plate looks good no chips, broken teeth,or cracks. I was told the 1998 flex plates are stronger than the newer models and if not cracked it should be OK. Is this right?

Also are you guys using the factory (3) torque convertor bolts to install the new one? If so any thread lock or sealent. Just want to make sure everything is done RIGHT the first time. thanks

The 1998 flexplate has smaller holes in it compared to the big windows in the later flexplates.

I think the converter comes with bolts and loctite. My Circle D did.

You can't use the original converter bolts with a billet converter because they are too long and will bottom out in the hole.

If yours is the 98 style I would keep it.
