Complete Bullsh*t
Pardon me for my rant but this is the second time I have taken my car to the track and the same thing happened. A the track officials suck so bad I could only get two runs in that night. Second thing has to do with my transmission. I have a FTI 3600 stall speed in a built 4L60E. Im still on street tires, so I tried baby launching the car, and obviously spin out the hole. I back off the pedal to try to catch up and the car will shift into second or third, and it just bogged the whole way down the 1/4.
Same thing happened on the second run. So when I left, I try the same thing on the street and it works perfectly. Im really at a lost of words here, anyone have any Idea?

I'm not talking about the fact that it spins. I know that it's gonna spin. If you read the post I said it spun and when I tried to throttle it it went into a higher gear and bogged.
And when I shifted it manually, I realize you have to give it time to shift but 2000 RPms no.

When you are on street tires, street and track are 2 different things.. On the street with street tires, you can keep spinning and it will shift to second and third and still have the power to keep the rpms up till it catches traction.. At the track where there's better traction, you'll have the power to spin 1st, 2nd, and 3rd, but as soon as it catches traction (will catch traction faster than on the street) depending on what rpm and what gear you are at, one of two things will happen. 1) You will bog, as what happen to you already, or it will be at a too low of an rpm and down shift causing it to spin again kicking it to the next gear again, where you will catch traction and bog again...
When I race on street tires I will manually shift my car. When I shift from 1st to 2nd my trans will shift right when I throw it into 2nd without a delay. Now from 2nd to 3rd third there is a delay of maybe 3 to 4 hundred rpms.. Im with IDRIVEAG8GT you need a trans tune and also get you some DRs. I hope this helps you understand what going on with your car at the track..

I have a temporary solution. Bag of Lays Jalapeno Potato Chips, and Mt. Dew. That will prepare you for the long run to give Lou at Mad Dog a call and have him build you a 4L60 with guts out of the truck 4L70 and a super servo/ with a Corvette 1-2. Then get the HP Tuners VCM Suite, become a member of the HPT forum and then we will make you your own personalized trans driving and racing tune.

You need tires.
The transmission shifts mainly off mph.
When you spin your tires mph goes up and it upshifts, but the car is going too slow so it bogs. It might or might not downshift back down but if it did it would start the whole process all over again. If it didn't it would bog.
With traction your entire car and drivetrain will reach shift mph and the next gear would catch when the rpm was high enough to keep pulling.
