Default 4L60E trashed, no movement in any gear. Experts come in

Ive had this 4L60e for about a year now, it was a performance build but not sure exactly what went into it. Always shifted fine, and the other night I was doing 70 or so on the freeway and it started free reving like it was in neutral. No movement in any gear including reverse, but park does hold. I know its not the rear end because the speedo doesnt move when I rev it. There were no strange noises at the time it happened, and there arent any now when I start it.

My question is what could it be? Im thinking it could be a bad pump, the fluid level on the dipstick doesnt get lower when I start the car. It could also be the output shaft except for the fact that park still works. Maybe the planetaries are destroyed?

I know theres no way to know without opening up the tranny, just want to get some insight into this problem, as I could probably rebuild the pump myself but a whole r&r is beyond my expertise. Thanks!

I agree with these guys. Sounds like a pump issue and 99% likely time for a rebuild. Let me know if I can help in any way.

Damn that sucks. You think the whole trans is done even though it was just rebuilt a year ago? Any way to tell without pulling the trans?

Remove one of your transmission cooler lines and see if it is pumping any fluid or hook a pressure gauge up to the drives side pressure port.
