Perma Cool 20-22000 GVW Transmission Cooler ??? Does anyone have experience with those coolers:
Perma Cool 20-22000 GVW Transmission Cooler, how hot are your transmissions runnig ?
I have a 2002 Trans Am with 4000+ stall, and 160°F termostat, i this cooler big enough ?

Tube and fin coolers like that one will not cool your transmission well enough. We always recommend a "bar and plate" style cooler like these offered by Thunder Racing.

OP, I run a 3200 stall. I went got b&m 70274. The bigger the better. You running a 4000+ on the street, it's gonna heat up especially stop and go traffic. You have a trans temp guage? As an insurance, I got a cooling fan and mated it up to my 29000 cooler.

Ok thankss guys, i will go with the B&M 70264 cooler, should be big enough because i live in Iceland, i will having Trans Temp gauge and a manual radiator fan switch. How hot are your transmissions when driving with stop and go traffic ?
