I have a 4.2 jaguar inline six cylinder engine and a 700r4 transmission bolted to it. It also has triple weber carbs and i need to know how to make a lever or linkage to pull the detent cable the proper geometry. Has any one done this before or know how to set up triple weber carbs with a 700r4 transmission?

You might try bow-tie overdrives. They sell the cables, brackets and misc linkages for different carb setups. You may find something you can utilize or they might know what you need. Of course you would install it on the main carb if you have progressive linkage.
