which gives you a better top end and automatic or a 6M A buddy of mine has a 04 cobra putting out 466 at the wheels it has a 6 speed. Would a 2001 T/A with an automatic beat him in a top speed race ?

one point, the Ford will be several hunderd lbs heaver, my son has a '03 490 hp vert. we have never raced top end , but he pulles strong from 70-90 up, on moter we run with in
0.003 in 1/4

I think you would at least need to be cammed/properly geared/stalled/bolt-on's to be competitive against him in that type of race. Otherwise, I think you would lose badly.
