Default issue after 4l80e

Im having an issue after my 4l80e swap from a t56. My speedo is way off, says im doing 120 at about 50 mph and my shift schedule is a mile off, shifting way too soon. Obviously my shifting problem is being caused by the vss telling the ecm that the car is moving faster than it is but im not sure why its doing this. The actual vss pigtail was not touched during the swap, just added the oss. I had a segment swap done by hptuners for the trans tables. Any ideas, anyone here with there own hptuners file I can check out for the vss tables?

Your going to have to change the pulses that the vss is sending to the computer. Your t56 uses less than the 80e uses so this is why your speedo is crazy fast. I can't help you with the programming part of this but it seems to me when you did the segment swap part of what needed to be done was not.

Thanks for the iresponse but I compared the the two and its already been corrected to 40 pulses with the 80e as opposed to the t56 which is 17 pulses i beleive.

Post a screenshot of your speedo settings, and also tell us what your rear gear and tire diameter is.

Its a 315/35/17, so I beleive its about a 26" tire. I did notice that it had error shown as the tire size. Not sure what thats about.

Your speedo settings are way off.

try this (or as close of a value as you can):

111521.50 pulses per mile

2788.04 trans revs per mile.

Just curious how did you get those numbers, the numbers I got from someone on hptuners was 110148 pulses per mile and 2753.7303 trans revs per mile.

Maybe you can help my with another problem im having, im having an issue with the p/n signal to the ecm. im using the factory prndl switch on the shifter, I have the black wire to ground and the orange/black to the ecm. the problem is that when the shifter is in park and nuetral, the ecm is getting ground and the ecm is getting an in gear signal while watching it with a scan tool. Then when its in any other drive gear it goes to an open circuit and then the ecm is showing a p/n signal. The ecm is a 01 fbody, ive checked the schematic for that model and its showing that in park and nuetral that it should be getting a ground signal and mine is acting the exact opposite.

Strange, I don't have a factory shifter, I came up with my own using a relay since the aftermarket shifter only had a provision for neutral safety and reverse lights.

If someone can offer some help with my speedo. I swapped my M6 for a 4l80. I took a screen shot of a hpt a4 tune file and compared it to my M6 file and there are fewer options in the speedo tabs under my M6 tune.

any suggestions?

awesome. As soon as we get her back together (another mod currently in the works). I'll give it a try.

also, I went ahead and downloaded hpt beta. I opened my current tune file and look at speedo setting and the layout is a bit different, but that's all I see. So, I went and downloaded the tune from the car, same results.
