Default Help rpms shoot to 3,000 and drop back down for no reason

So I will be cruising on the highway and cruise control will be on and for no reason at all it will go up to 3,000 rpms but I won't go any faster at all... So I take it off cruise control and I start cruising and then I will go to speed up the rpms will go up but I wont go anywhere so I will floor it and then The car just takes off need help it's my daily

So when your cruising (with cruise off) the rpms go up but you don't change your speed. But if you floor it, it will go. The part where it goes up to 3k rpms in the cruise control part sounds like it is shifting itself into 3rd for some reason. The other part sounds like it could be your torque converter going out

If RPMs go up but you don't feel acceleration, that's slip
in some friction set or other. I'd begin with lack of line
pressure, stock is kind of a weak profile. Can also happen
from low fluid.
