Default 4L60E shift solenoid bore

I was attempting to replace both shift solenoids (4L60E) when I broke the first one off in the bore before i figured out that I needed to pop the retaining clips out. In attempting to get the broken parts out of the bore , I chewed up the inside of the bore a bit. We're wondering if We need to replace the entire valve body , or if we can get away with less drastic (and costly) measures.
