Torque converter bolts really close to oil pan, too close?......
So I am wrapping up mating a th350 to a LQ4.... using the TCI 399754 flexplate (which works great btw) I had to pickup some grade 8 nuts and bolts to bolt up my redneck stall converter.... I shaved down a ton already on the boltheads to get them to clear the oil pan and I have about .050-.080 clearance on the bolts to the little fins that stick out on the back of the F-body pan, will this be ok.... I am using red loctite on them as well as lock washers. I really do not want to shave a ton more off the bolt heads as it will be a PITA to get a wrench on them and possibly round off easier down the road...Just hope they won't become loose...

endplay checked out within spec as well when we put it together
I guess I will just shave down the bolts some more then will have to cut them off if and when they need to come off... Maybe shave the fins down that stick out on the pan a bit? whats the average distance anyone else has on theirs' clearing?
