THIS IS A REPOST, IM GETTING NO HELP SO IM TRYING INTERNAL ENGINE CUZ IT DOES HAVE TO DO WITH MY CAMSHAFT

bought a 10,000 mile tci 3600 stall converter for 300 bucks. The torque converter holes were stripped. Can they be fixed? How can i tell if this converter will even work when installed. Can I Helicoil them? If someone could text or call me thatd be great. This is for a 233/239 112 lsa camshaft.

You need to drill the holes out and re-tap them. If you aren't capable then have a local machine shop do it (they can do it with their eyes closed). To ensure the converter works, you would need to see if TCI can cut it open and freshen it up and check it out. If they wont, I'm sure some other converter companies can work on it.

Not really, you can look at the seal surface and the tangs (2 square cuts) on the back side of the converter but that is probably it.

Make sure they are intact basically, I believe those engage inside the main pump and can get damaged under some instances.
