Stock Transmission Limits
I have a 2000 trans am. I am hoping to break 10's on motor and then spray a 150. The transmission has about 1600 miles and has gone 11.56 with a circle D 4C in it.
How long should i expect the transmission to last if it does run what I want it to?
Any input would be appreciated

I don't plan on leaving it in there. I am getting a performabuilt, I don't think its gonna go out and shatter on one really good pass. Just kinda wanted to get an idea of how long I should expect it to last.

Stock 4L60e transmissions can be tricky to guess how long they will live. Some live for years behind 11 second cars and some die behind 13 second bone stock engines. Unfortunately there is no solid school of thought when it comes to how long it will last.
Just make sure to keep it cool and with that low of milage change the fluid and filter often. Don't hot lap it.

10s on motor plus a 150 shot? I'd say you are going to extremely accelerate clutch wear. So overall lifespan will be dramatically decreased. And, that may just be too much for a stock trans right from the get go. If you make one clean mid/low 10 second pass, I'd say you are pretty lucky and walking on eggshells.

well its not completely stock... but it does have stock clutches. I have a performabuilt in another car I have just been busting my *** on the car. Sick pulling motors and transmissions in the driveway. I'm ready to drive the damn thing. I know its a matter of time but one good weekend at the track would be almost worth it... I have 70.25 in the transmission lol

Ok next question. If i switch out the trans for the performabuilt before I go to the track, am I going to see any TIME GAINS over the one that is in there now that simply has a shift kit?

If your stock transmission isnt slipping and shifting quickly, you probably won't notice much gain at all. But if your stock trans is shifting lazy or slipping you could see rather large gains going to the rebuilt unit. Taking a good working stock trans out and putting in a built trans usually won't make the car any faster, just more reliable.
