Default Revmax ftw!

I just wanna give thx to REVMAX for making badass converters for an affordable price..

i have had their basic converter with a anti-balloning plate for abou 15k miles and it does not skip a beat...

my car runs in the 11s on motor with just a cam, the converter has taken a beating on slicks and at the track ALOT of times!! sucks that its tight do to it being built for spray, but on bottle its another animal..

best 60ft to date is a 1.53..
in the 10s now, and its still going!!!

im thinking of getting it restalled to 4k rpm, currently at 3600rpm..

So if your looking for a converter that can take a beating and doesnt hurt the pocket, look no further and go with a REVMAX, you wont regret it!!

They were very helpful when I needed a (3200) converter and you can't beat their prices for quality internals.

I'll go with a 3600, n pick up an oil cooler. How do you think it will do with a 190k mile tranny?

Have you changed the fluid regularly or run synthetic??

I got the car when it was 150K so i have nooooooooooooooo idea about the oil in the transmission, and i do believe i read somewhere that if u change the fluid at such a high mileage you run the risk of breaking something in the tranny. but the engine oil i change regularly

190K on a 4L60E is quite a bit. I would be pretty sure that it has been rebuilt before, but who knows when, and how good .etc... Adding the converter will not hurt the transmission. However, with that many miles, I would say you are on borrowed time... Maybe you should wait until you rebuild the transmission, and then do the converter at the same time?? I would leave the fluid alone at this point as well!

It's not the fluid change. It's usually the cleaner they run when flushing it that messes with things. Trans fluid breaks down too. A pan drop and filter change is always a good idea. Seems this comes up alot lol, with a 50/50 feeling on it

New fluid in a high mileage tranny has been known to cause problems especially if there haven't been regular changes (of fluid).

Revmax I am looking at your converters as well. Pretty sure the 3600 stall model. Now do you build them around the motor torque and vehicle weight?? Main issue is my car will be running a 5.3 and total weight of the car with driver will be around 2700 lbs. So the same converter behind a 6.0 in a 3800 lbs car will act totally different. Thanks!
