Default EPC solenoid

Anybody know how to replace the EPC solenoid? Do I need to drop the valve body, i dropped the pan last friday, but i did not even look at it. Any suggestions?

No you do not have to drop the valve body. You will need to remove the 1-2 accumulator housing to get it to slide out of the valve body. Make sure to look at your old one closely before removing the retainer bracket.It will be set in a specific position and you need to make sure to do this when you reinstall the new one. HTH Vince

Well, since i will have to remove the housing, might as well change the piston and spring in the 1-2 accumulator. Any tips on doing this or is it as simple as it seems. Drop cover, pull piston and springs replace and put the cover back on?

Yeah its all pretty simple IMO. You might want to use some compressed air to pop the piston out of the housing by just blowing a little air into the feed hole. HTH Vince
