Default Help with -6 braided trans cooler lines....

I'm in the process of a t-56 to a TH400 swap. I just got my kit that came from jegs today. it has a B&M super cooler, some fittings and 10ft of braided -6 line. is 10ft gonna be enough to do both lines from trans to cooler? it seems short to me. I'm not even sure where to route the lines on a 4th gen camaro.

Were you guys able to use the supplied straight fittings off the trans side, or did you have to use a 45 deg to clear between the trans & tunnel? Thanks!

On my 4l60e I used about 14 ft of hose. I wasted about half a foot re-cutting the ends to where they didn't fray when putting the hose ends on. I had 2 45 deg hose ends but the top one hit the transmission tunnel so I switched that one out for a 90 deg and it fits great now.

I havent hooked the cooler up yet but the way it comes out of the trans I think the straight fittings will work fine. the lines angle down and forward coming out of the trans case. heres my th400, you can see the fittings.

With them angled down like that it might clear. I would connect the lines to it before jacking it up all the way and make sure you have clearance. You don't want to have the tunnel pushing on the lines and you don't want too sharp of a bend on the hose.

I ran the straight fittings off my TH350, and the kit came with 10ft of line and it was plenty with the way I ran it

Pics aren't the greatest

Anyone know for sure what size fittings are needed for a TH400? Also, what brand cooler takes AN fittings? Most have the barb fittings made into them.

This is what we're talking about.. It's the Jegs easy kit & here's the one for the TH400.

Yea, I meant for buying the parts separately rather than kit form. I have tons of braided hose and fittings laying around already.
