We are now setup to install aftemarket SFI bellhousings for Chevy or other applications such as Mod Motor Fords, BB Chryslers and Fords, etc.

Very nice!

You have to mill the pump housing flat to accept the adapter plate
so the bell housing is square to the trans case?

Does the bottom stay open or there is a cover like the stocl bellhousing?

Do you have pics of one installed?

Mike

Does this stack up at the same height as OE, or does it require spacers for the converter?

Yes,
It has to be milled flat so it's square and also so it indexes and keeps everything on center.

I'm not sure if Reid has a bottom cover.

We're building the units now, just got the pumps machined.

Chris,
It stacks up the same as OE. We kept it within .010".

So is it going to be built to sell To public or for your builds only? If sold then what price range are we looking at?

It requires us to have a pump and case to do, so for now only on our builds. It adds $900 to the build cost.

Jake, Would it be to much to ask to see one installed on the housing. Looks like it would be a tight fit near the pan rail on the bottom.

Is this only an option If you build the transmission???

I haven't had time to machine the cases yet. They are too tall to stand up in my mill. I am setting up tooling to do them another way.
It will clear the pan rail fine, very much like an Ultrabell on a TH400. I do those frequently. The hard part is done now. I'll post pics of the completed cases next week.

Your other question was answered above.
