No smaller than a 4000 stall.

i talked to Summit racing and they said that i would be fine with what i had, but i just can't believe that cause it's quite bigger than the cams i've looked at that called for a 3200 stall. i don't know how to tell what exact size i need.

Call a converter company, they will lead you in the right direction. Summit is correct technically, you'll be fine with a 3200 to drive around on most likely but your leaving alot on the table. A custom built converter for your vehicle is what you need and they can set it up for what you want to do with the car, I'd suggest FTI personally, Greg is the man!

That is a really big cam. It needs RPM to make it happy. I would do our 245mm 5C option. It is about a 4000 flash stall. It will drive quite well with the 4.10s. It will really make your setup rock!!

Unless your a 6spd your not going to get grea mpg out of a cam that size, I drive around on a 5,000 stall. Car usually hangs around 2.5-3k Rpms in a th400/4.11 gear

i'm probably going to sound stupid right now but f it. Is there a 4K stall that drives like a 3K or so?

also, is driving with that size TC worth the cam? i feel like it's rather big to drive it a few days a week.

Don't cheap out on the converter and you should be happy with a larger stall speed. Some of the companies can chime in and tell you almost spot on how the car will act

Dont worry about how big the stall is, when it comes to mileage. There will probably be a small change in mileage in town, just due to the slight increase in RPM it takes to get it rolling, but once its locked up, it doesnt matter if you have a 6000rpm stall.. Locked up, is locked up, whether its a stock stall, or an aftermarket.

I daily drove my car for years with a 4k stall, and only recently went to an SS3600, just because I wanted a new stall, and thats what Dave @ Yank suggested for my car. The big stalls are very easy to drive.

The bigger stall wont take significantly more RPM to drive than what you have now. You having 4.10s, you probably wont even really notice a difference... Until you mash the gas.

A 4000 or higher stall will be needed to get the cam up into it's powerband and have usable power throughout a run. Don't sweat the drivability characteristics. My wifes' daily driver has a Circle D 4000 stall with 3.73 rear gears and it drives great. Your current converter will work as in it'll idle without lugging the engine down when you put it in gear, but it'll be a dog down low when going wot. The Circle D 5C 4000 stall will rock you.

You can go here and contact Chris:

A Trans-Go HD is probably the most popular shift kit, but I'd have it professionally installed as it can be a bit tricky for the average joe.

Good luck! Keep us updated.
