You may have busted one of the teflon rings on the oil pump stator shaft.
I think there is a check ball between the case and valve body for reverse, but I don't know if a missing one would prevent reverse from working. At least you can verify all the check ***** without pulling the trans.
Page 15 of the ATSG manual lists all the possibilities; there are quite a few but most require pulling trans, oil pump and reverse drum.

I forgot something related to the teflon rings (seal)...
One 4L60E I am currently rebuilding I bought off CF for $100 knowing that it had no reverse. One stator shaft ring was completely gone which would give you no reverse. Moreover the reverse drum where the ring runs was very rough and I therefore had to replace the reverse drum. Perhaps you missed that.
Basically any sealing or bearing surface that does not feel absolutely smooth needs to be replaced.
