What would you do?
Ok, I just got a 70K mile 4L60e (stock) and I have a couple questions.
First I broke the pump and I have the fix for that.
Second I am putting a SS4000 YANK stall in it and since I have the bell housing off it and the front pump taken out, should I just go ahead and take it and have some better clutches and a "BEAST" sunshell installed?
I dont want to install this 4000K stall and then have something "snap" internally. I just dont have the money to "bulletproof" the trans now.
What should I do???

Just run it stock......a word of advice though. Don't force it to downshift by stabbing the throttle to wide open, manually select the gear with the lever, let the gear engage, then go wide open. Click back to D and let the computer take over. This will save you a lot of strain on the trans parts. Get a good cooler and a temp gauge so you can see how well your cooling setup is working. Keep things cool, and don't abuse it and it should live for quite a while. Oh, and change the fluid often, I do mine once a year regardless of miles.
